Golcuk Lake Nature Park Golcuk Lake is a man-made lake, 1217 metres altitude and 13km south of the Bolu city centre. The depth of this large expanse of water averages around 4.5 hectares and is approximately 1300 meters in circumference. Looking at the lake, you’ll see pine, fir, beech, hornbeam and mixed tree species. Right on the edge of this amazing view is a cute building called “the State Guesthouse” of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. This house has become an iconic symbol for Golcuk Lake: one of Turkey's most inviting destinations to visit! Besides this facility, there are a restaurant, cafeteria, and accommodation in the bungalow type buildings around the lake. The lake and its surroundings have been taken under protection by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry as a "Nature Park". It is not allowed to enter by car around this very cute and small lake. The other amenities available in this nature park includes trails for hiking, viewing terraces and picnic areas - the park is an important way to engage in sports recreation due to its exceptional climate.
