Sunset in Salt Lake with Kaymakli & Ihlara Valley Tour

The private tour begins with a meeting with our experienced guide at your preferred hotel at 11:00, ready to immerse you in Cappadocia's captivating history and stunning landscapes.

First Stop: Kaymakli Underground City

Our journey begins with a step back in time as we descend into the labyrinthine corridors of Kaymakli Underground City, the largest of its kind in the region. This awe-inspiring subterranean city was ingeniously constructed by early Christians as a sanctuary from Roman persecution. As you explore its network of tunnels and chambers, you'll gain a profound understanding of the resilience and innovation of the early Christians, making this site one of Cappadocia's must-visit destinations.

Second Stop: Ihlara Valley

We journey to the tranquil Ihlara Valley, an ancient stronghold of early Christianity. Nestled by the Melendiz Stream, the valley is adorned with numerous rock-hewn churches showcasing exquisite frescoes and paintings. As you wander along the scenic pathway bordering the stream, you'll encounter these historic places of worship set against a backdrop of lush greenery and the calming sounds of the stream, presenting a sight that's as captivating as it is serene.

Lunch Break

Lunch will be served in a river-by restaurant in Belisirma Village.

Final Stop: Salt Lake

As our day of exploration draws to a close, we make our way to the majestic Salt Lake, Turkey's second-largest lake and one of the world's largest hypersaline bodies of water. The lake's shallow, brackish waters create a stunning reflective surface that perfectly mirrors the changing colors of the sunset sky. Known for its vital role in salt mining, this saline marvel offers a serene ambiance to watch the sun dip below the horizon, casting long shadows and a golden hue over the salt flats - a perfect finale to a day filled with adventure and discovery.

This private tour offers a deeply immersive journey through some of Cappadocia's most notable historical sites and natural wonders, culminating in a peaceful sunset viewing at the Salt Lake.
