Your Private Pamukkale and Hierapolis Tour begins with pick-up from your hotel in Pamukkale or Karahayıt at approximately 9:00 AM. Meet your licensed private guide and travel to the archaeological site in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. The exact departure time can be adjusted according to your hotel location and travel plans.

Hierapolis Ancient City and Necropolis

Begin exploring Hierapolis Ancient City, founded beside the region’s thermal springs and developed into an important healing and religious center during the Hellenistic and Roman periods. Walk through the extensive necropolis, one of the most impressive ancient cemeteries in Anatolia, and examine different tomb types while your guide explains the beliefs and burial traditions of the ancient city.

Continue through the monumental gates, ancient streets and public structures while learning how Hierapolis combined urban life, pilgrimage, medicine and thermal bathing.

Roman Theatre and Thermal Heritage

Visit the magnificent Roman Theatre of Hierapolis, one of the city’s most striking monuments. Admire its monumental stage building and elevated position while your guide describes the performances, ceremonies and public life of the ancient community.

Depending on the selected route and available time, your guided walk may also include important remains connected with Hierapolis’s bath culture, sacred landscape and early Christian history.

Optional Cleopatra Antique Pool

Enjoy free time near the historic Cleopatra Antique Pool. When the pool is open, guests may choose to swim in the warm thermal water among submerged ancient architectural fragments. Pool admission is optional and is not included in the tour price.

Lunch at a Local Restaurant

Take a comfortable lunch break at a selected local restaurant. The tour includes lunch, while drinks are paid separately. Please advise us in advance about vegetarian choices, allergies or other dietary requirements so that suitable arrangements can be requested.

Pamukkale Travertine Terraces

Continue to the world-famous Pamukkale Travertine Terraces, where calcium-rich thermal waters have created brilliant white mineral formations across the hillside. Walk barefoot on the sections permitted to visitors, feel the thermal water flowing through shallow channels and enjoy time for photographs overlooking the Menderes Valley.

Your guide will explain how the terraces formed, why water is carefully managed across the site and how the natural landscape is connected with the ancient thermal city above it.

Return to Your Hotel

The sightseeing program normally concludes at approximately 4:00 PM. Meet your private driver and return comfortably to your hotel in Pamukkale or Karahayıt. The finishing time may vary according to your preferred pace, swimming time, weather and site conditions.
