Butterfly Valley Located in southern Fethiye, Butterfly Valley is a very beautiful area. A boat trip from Oludeniz takes about 30 minutes and ends at a lovely, serene beach. Butterfly Valley is an out-of-town, unique, and peaceful area close to Fethiye. Butterfly Valley has plenty of trees that grow a variety of fruits--olives, apples, grapes--and it's home to around 100 species of butterflies. Scientists recorded 147 species of indigenous flora from 54 plant families and 105 different butterfly species native to the valley. Seeing the butterflies requires a difficult hike, so if you are not an experienced hiker please be careful. After the arduous climb, you will find thousands of butterflies covering everything in sight. The view is especially breathtaking during spring and summer months. Beginning with wintertime, butterfly watching can be enjoyed for 9-10 months in the valley. Butterfly Valley is surrounded by hills 350 m high and sea level. It covers 10 hectares, the deep and steep walls are crystalline clear with a pebble beach, small waterfall, decorative flowers - all create a paradise on earth. The valley has an amazing beauty that never leaves you with its clean water, azure sea between rocks, wonderful greenery and endless silence. There is a summer camp facility located in the valley. You can stay in tents or choose bungalow houses. Tents are quite small, but if you want to sleep in a large tent you have the opportunity to bring your own canvas from home.
