Konya Sour Cherry Tiridi

Production Method:

For 4 servings of Konya Vişne Tiridi, the necessary components are as follows:
- 6 slices of bread - 200 g butter or clarified butter - 1 kg sour cherries - 250 ml water - 500 g granulated sugar

Instructions:
1. Heat butter or clarified butter in a pan and fry the bread slices until both sides turn golden brown. Place the fried bread slices in a deep tray. 2. Remove the pits from the sour cherries and boil them with sugar and water. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for an additional two minutes before removing from heat. 3. Pour the lukewarm sour cherry syrup over the bread slices. Allow Konya Vişne Tiridi to cool, and serve optionally with clotted cream.
