In production, Kemaliye Dutu / Eğin Dutu, registered with the number 813 as a geographical indication, is used. Since Kemaliye used to be called Eğin, both names, Kemaliye Lök Tatlısı and Eğin Lök Tatlısı, are used to describe the product. The product is produced in facilities called "lökhane" or in homes (using stone mortars).

Preparation: Dried Kemaliye Dutu / Eğin Dutu is passed through a mulberry sorting machine, cleaned, and ground in a stone mill. Crushed walnuts are added to the ground mulberries, and the mixture is pounded in stone, iron, or bronze mortars with approximately 3500 to 5000 strokes until it reaches a paste-like consistency. The product is typically packaged in molds of 7-8 cm in length and 2 cm in thickness or in molds suitable for packaging preferences. The packaged product can be stored for 6 months in a cool and dry environment, while the unpackaged product can be preserved for 15 days.
