The reason for naming the product "sucuk" (sausage) is due to its resemblance to sausage after it cools down. The distinctive features of the product are highlighted by its preparation using artisanal skills and traditional methods, the shape given to the product, as well as its characteristic color and taste. Bozdoğan Walnut Delight has been known in the region since the pre-republic era. Initially, it was made in homes during times of war and scarcity, primarily to feed small children. Over time, it gained recognition as a commercial product. The appearance of the product is matte and dull, and its color is cream-white. Production Method: Ingredient List: Spring water, walnut kernels, wheat starch, and white powdered sugar. Preparation of the Product: To 1 liter of water, add 2.5 cups (approximately 0.5 kg) of white powdered sugar and 3 cups (approximately 0.5 kg) of wheat starch. Constantly stirring, cook the mixture until it reaches a thick consistency. A string with at least 100 grams of walnut kernels arranged on it is dipped into the boiling sweet mixture, and it is hung to dry. The strength of the used string is important since the product is dried by hanging. Additionally, the string used should be food-safe. Once the sweet mixture on the string has dried sufficiently, it is dipped again into the sweet mixture. This process is repeated 3-4 times, and the string with the sweet mixture is hung in a high place to dry. Thus, the production of Bozdoğan Walnut Delight is completed. No food additives, flavors, or components giving aroma or flavor-enhancing properties are used in the preparation of Bozdoğan Walnut Delight. Storage and Preservation: Bozdoğan Walnut Delight is stored in clean and dry places, protected from odors, and shielded from direct sunlight at all stages until it reaches the consumer. The recommended consumption date for Bozdoğan Walnut Delight is 4 days at room temperature conditions from the production date and 7 days under refrigeration.
