Production Method:

For the production of 40 pieces of Aksaray Flour Cookie / Aksaray Soldier Cookie, the ingredients are as follows: - 250 g butter - 200 g white sugar - 350 g wheat flour

The butter is melted in a saucepan and then placed in a bowl to cool. After crushing the sugar into a powder, it is added to the cooled butter. Flour is gradually poured into the mixture, thoroughly stirred until it reaches a non-sticky consistency, and then kneaded by hand for 7-8 minutes. From the obtained dough, pieces the size of a walnut are taken and rolled into cylinders on a pastry board, with a width of 2 cm and a length of 20 cm. The rolled dough is cut into lengths of 5 cm, shaped into an "S," and placed on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 160℃ until the surface turns slightly pink, approximately 15-17 minutes. During the baking process, the oven door should not be opened; otherwise, the cookies may become too hard and break. Once taken out of the oven, let the Aksaray Flour Cookie / Aksaray Soldier Cookie cool before serving.
